This breathtaking estate on Biscayne Bay in Coral Gables, Florida is the result of meticulous site planning and execution. The existing main house was constructed in the late 1990s and consisted of only one half of the current property. The clients contracted with LA2d when they purchased the lot adjacent to the existing home, and decided to expand, building a new guest house and garden next door, while upgrading and renovating the entire grounds as a cohesive unit. LA2d gave all the existing garden features an update by renovating materials for both the hardscape elements and plantings. A new irrigation system was designed for the property, and landscape lighting was added to create night-time drama and effect. The existing ‘gazebo’ was transformed into a soothing meditation garden with a koi pond and yoga pavilion for the clients to enjoy.
