This project was a renovation and revitalization of an existing home with a relatively small walled –in private garden in an upscale neighborhood of Coral Gables, FL. The clients hired LA2d to design a series of outdoor rooms that evoked the feeling of being in a boutique hotel somewhere in tropical Asia. LA2d accomplished drama and flair by designing custom water features, paving patterns, wood decking and a wooden shade pergola. The planting palette was kept minimalistic and bold for a ‘zen garden’ feeling. Landscape lighting highlights the built environment boldly for scenic nighttime entertaining.
